Latest update 0.2.1.5: New update URL.

What is this?
This is a Mozilla Firefox extension that adds Pan (Hand) tool-like and interactive zooming functionality to deviantART interface for more convenient full views. It's handy for viewing large deviations. It's part of the deviantEXPERIENCE extension series.

How to install?

In Firefox 2 and previous versions, when you click to install, a yellow bar appears. Click Edit Options, add the site to your allowed list and click to install again. In Firefox 3, you don't need to click twice.

How to use it?
Click the Panorama View link to the left of the deviation. Grab (click and drag) the deviation to move it around. Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out the deviation or if you don't have one use the zoom icons in the toolbar. If you hover with your mouse pointer over any of the navigator items in the bottom right corner, the deviation will starting moving in that direction (automatic scrolling). Full view for a demonstration. Please note that the Panorama View link takes a moment to appear. Your feedback is welcome.

To configure reversible panning, reversible scrolling or full-window mode:
- Open a new tab and type about:config in the address field.
- Type "panorama" (without the quotation marks)
- Double click on a value to change it. The values for reversible scrolling, reversible panning and full-window mode are "reverseScrolling", "reversePanning" and "disableMarign", respectively.

Very sweet indeed, I gotta say :P

It's just, the mousewheel zooming doesn't work for me. I don't know, maybe a confligt with ImageZoom, I'll go check it out.

Update:
Disabling ImageZoom didn't resolve the problem. I also tried the mousewheel feature on my touchpad (and disabling that driver alltogether) with no effect. Don't know, I use the Intellipoint software from Microsoft, with a Microsoft mouse, and scolling was never an issue.

2nd:
You might wanna add
// @include http://www.deviantart.com/view/*
to the script. It's not officially supported anymore since the launch of v5, but some other userscripts (like GallerySkip) still use it.

3rd:
I sneaked into the extension and extracted the script (yay, I got it to work as a GM userscript!) and removed all the margins in the code to make the whole browser-area usable. ^^

Bottom line:
Thanks again for writing that neat script! I was a bit sceptical at first, but it really rocks :D
